Henry - URGENT!
Henry is an adorable little lhaso apso mix who is appx 2 years old (estimated DOB is 7/06). He is a little under 25 lbs, and is a substantial dog – he is NOT a wimp! His feet are huge and his body is very long. His fur is the color of smoke and so soft. He is such a handsome guy!!!
Henry has a very sweet personality, as long as you know how to handle the Lhaso breed. He plays hard, and then flops down when he is down – almost like his personality is bigger than his body! He bonds quickly people and loves to be loved.
Henry gets along well with other dogs, but does chase cats, so should be in a no-cats home. He also does not do well in a car – he barks and charges the other cars (while inside) – pretty funny! His foster mom keeps a hold of his leash and holds him closely when she has to bring him in the car. It does help to have two people to do this, as you can imagine! With some positive reinforcement and desensitization training, I’m sure he could get used to riding in the car. He just doesn’t quite understand it yet!
Henry has a great appetite but is not food aggressive at all. He does not bark as much as the other resident dogs at his foster mom’s, but if they get him going, he will howl like a pro. He adjusts well to strangers, although he will jump on new people.

Bowser (RJ) - URGENT!
Bowser is a lovable a 1yr old puppy with a lot going for him. Besides his good looks, he’s house trained, he knows some basic commands, and he gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, and enjoys dogs his own size (small dogs need not apply please). He’s also got expressive eyes and gorgeous mastiff-like markings, however, don’t let markings and pictures deceive you…he looks huge in his pictures, but in person is the same size as a lab. He weighs in at 68 lbs and could lose a bit of weight.
Bowser needs a special home for a special personality. He is definately worth it. Loving and sweet, but still learning the ropes of living with people and getting new visitors.
Bowser would like to find a kind, dog-savvy person (who preferably has experience with a working-breed dog) who is comfortable being a calm, dominant owner to teach him confidence. Bowser is learning to look to humans for guidance – and needs a human who will continue be the alpha in the relationship. He has done very well in foster care and picks up on human cues very easily. He is smart and capable of learning. He has NOT been aggressive, but he can be shy when faced with new introductions (he’s kind of a big baby!). Sometimes when he is scared, and first meets people he puts on an act like he’s tough (as he hides behind you of course!), but once he’s over the hump of the initial meeting, he is very friendly and playful with both people and large canines.

Bonita - Say a Prayer, and KISS your HEART goodbye!
Beautiful and brains – that’s Bonita! She’s a clever girl, and a fast learner who loves her people more than anything in the world. In fact, she adores being near the people so much, that it’s sometimes tough to convince this fifty-pounder that she’s not a lap dog. She’s solidly medium sized.
Bonita has mastered most of the basic obedience commands, such as sit, stay and down, and she’s house trained, too. Bonita is still a bit exuberant when walking on a leash, but she’s working on learning to heel. She takes treats extremely gently and has been good with all the kids she’s met. She’s even learned to sit for introductions and first hellos. She loves to sleep near the people, which her foster mom finds very energy-efficient now that the nights are getting colder.
AND that is not all… check out her full listing of even more amazing qualities!
